Country: | Hi all, I have updated my EPG GUI to include TVengine, and I am hoping that some of you could help test it for me. Program data is written directly to the MSSQL or MySQL database. The install includes the current libmysql.dll file for MySQL users. If you have trouble, you could try replacing it with your copy from the MySQL bin folder. I have not added new instructions for the TV engine, but it is straight forward. You will need to enter the host name for the server, as well as the user name and password, then select either MySQL or MSSQL depending on how you have set up your system. For a "stand alone" TV Server / Client setup, enter the computer name or 127.0.0.1 for the Host Name/IP address. Download at http://home.people.net.au/~threebridges/downloads/tv/ PLEASE leave some feedback if you do/dont get it to work. Thanks Last edited by Big_Kev; 2007-08-19 at 03:01. Reason: Changed Link |

Country: | This new version has fixed my problem. I do not get the error message and can connect to the sql db. Excellent work...... my next question is, do I run this on the client side because it seems that it is looking for the .db3 file. I do not have MP loaded on my server only tvserver running on that and the clients are located on other machines. |

Country: | If you have selected the MSSQL option on the Configuration page, then it should be looking for the MSSQL database, not the db3 file that is used for Standard MP (non TV Engine). You can use it on any PC on the network as long as you fill in the correct Host Name/IP Address for the PC where the MSSQL database is located. Do you have a green "Led" in the top right corner of the GUI screen? This indicates a successful connection to the database server. Kev |

Country: | yes. All of that worked but when I finally went to save it after doing all the configurations, an warning mesasge appeared saying that it could not find the .db3 database. I click OK on this and application still worked. I loaded MP onto the server the error message did not re occur What tables does it write to in SQL and I will check to see if wrote anything. don't worry all sorted....just needed to download xmltv file again after setting it all up Last edited by charli181; 2007-08-03 at 04:49. | Portal Member | I still have the same problem. It doesn't really bother me as I only watch the SD channels anyhow but I still get no EPG data in the grouped channels. The logos are working though... EDIT: nvrmind I found the newer exe a directory above "tvengine". It works like a charm. ![]() You really should consider naming your exe's with a version number!
