Thumbs up New Version 0.1.1.9

Hi All,

I have uploaded a new version that has additional option on the standard EPG page to allow you to load the xml data from a file.

This was requested by a user who can get the data to the tvguide.xml file, but then has to manipulate it manually.

Getting data from the file allows the Oz Downloader's mapping feature to be used to upload the data directly.

Regards
Kev

Hi Big_Kev,

I installed your EPG app the other day, and for the most part it's working. But there are gaps in the guide, on every channel and at various times, it seems totally random. Sometimes the guide says "no data available" but most of the time its just totally blank, there is nothing there. I'm thinking maybe something to do with genres? Not sure though, any ideas? How to I check what my genres are? The source is robbos tv guide.

Hi Fret,

Could you let me know what version of MediaPortal you are currently running and what version of the downloader (see top right of config screen).

I am not sure I have accounted for all of the issues I had with RC2.

Kev,

I found the same thing also. It only started when I upgraded to version 0.1.1.10 on the weekend. Prior to that it was fine. I though initially it may have been some data missing in JRobbo, so I tried Wikitivo and it did the same. I don't get 'no data', just a blank.
I am using MPRC1 with SVN 15497.

Does your grid reset OK, or do you get no data there also?

Hi Kev,

Using RC2 of Media Portal and version 0.1.1.10 of the downloader. I've tried removing the programs from the database in MPConfig and downloading again, still got a lot of gaps.

Cheers,

Nathan.

BTW grid reset is fine. The channel mapping seems fine, programs appear on the right channels at the right time, just a lot of programs missing which suggest to me its something specific to program data like genres. At the moment for instance I can see ABC, SBS and ABC2 data fine, but nothing on Ten until 10pm and nothing on 9 until 11:30pm. There is a hour gap at 9:30 - 10pm on SBS between 'bro'town' and 'Shameless'. Also a gap between four corners and enough rope on ABC where I think Media Watch should be. Hope that helps.

Kev,

I can report that the reset grid also works fine. I did this after installing 0.1.1.10 as per the instructions.
I found that when I got the data using JRobbo, I had more blanks than when I downloaded using Oztivo (after resetting the grid again when changing where the data is gotten from).

I'm not sure what version I would have been using prior, probably around 0.1.1.7 or a little earlier.

I have a copy of most versions of this program if you want to roll back...

Let me know and I'll set up a download for 0.1.1.8. That one worked fine in RC1 for me.

Thanks for doing this, I have been snowed under with my MediaPortal Self Contained Web Server project (shameless self-promotion!).

It really is greatly appreciated!
