"channel" numbers in EPG - how to remove?

Hi All!

I have a problem in my EPG: All channel names are prefixed with a "channel number", but i cannot really figure out how this channel number is generated - or more importantly, how to get rid of it?

As you can see in the screenshot, it starts out with 1, 2, 3 - but soon it "goes off" with 2 and 3 digit numbers

I believe that it all started when I added a second tv card, and started combining the channels.

So:

What does these numbers represent? - and
How do I get rid of them?

Especially when i get 3 digit numbers, it takes so much space, that I cannot see the full channel name.

My setup:
Vista 32bit
FireDTV-T
FireDTV-S2
TV-server3 recent build
Media Portal 1 - recent build
EPG: NordicEpg/xmltv

This was embarrassingly simple:
In MediaPortal Configuration - Television:
Deselect "Show Channel numbers"
