EPG "Every week at this time" functionality

Hi,
This isn't a bug report, i'm merely asserting what the expected functionality of the tv guide record "every week at this time"/every day/etc options when setting things to record.

When I set a tv program to record every week at this time, is MP expected to record only the currently available shows in the EPG data? or is it expected to continually apply this rule to programs downloaded (in my case the TV guide info is downloaded in the broadcast itself as it's DVB freeview in the UK) thereafter until the rule is deleted?

I'm currently seeing the former but was expecting the latter.

ok, scratch this, i've figured it out. very odd functionality if you ask me. very unintuitive if it's what's intended.

if i set up a regular recording, ie. The Daily Show every Tuesday at 8.30pm, it queues up all instances. now, once i watch a recorded episode i use the context menu to select "Delete" to get rid of the episode, just as i would a Video. However this appears to delete the episode and all future scheduled recordings of it! ouch.

am i to understand that the only means of deleting recorded TV is to use the "clean up" option? because that doesn't suit my needs at all, as i've often got old tv programs that are half watched that i don't want deleted.
