Default How to set up Zap2it

Does anyone know how I can get my Zap2It listings to work on all my channels?

It works fine on all the analogue channels, since they map directly to numbers, but it doesn't work for any of my ATSC (OTA) channels, except for one channel (FOX) which has listings displayed. The rest just say "no data available".

It seems like just a matter of mapping the zap2it listings to the appropriate digital channel, I just don't see any options to do that.

I'm using The TV Server from 05/15/07 and media portal SVN from the same day.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Dan.

Hi,

Sounds like you have the ATSC channels in MP, make sure you have the lineup added in your zap2it account.
Usually the OTA ATSC channels are under the local broadcast listing for you area.

HTH,
patrick

The ATSC channels are all selected in my zap2it account.

This has worked for me in GBPVR using the same account, but in MP it only seems to map the lineups to the analog channels, and 1 ATSC channel. The other 9 or so ATSC channels are not getting anything...

Hi,

Strange.
Can you paste your tv log file to http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com/
after an update?
(You can use the force update option and then stop and re-start the tvservice.)

The ATSC channels should also map to numbers using the major and minor channels
such as 3-2 or 10-2, are your ATSC channels not this way?

You could also try to delete and re-add/scan the ATSC channels to make sure something in the mappings did not get messed up.

Thanks for the response. Can you tell me where I can find the TV log file? I'm using TVEngine.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi,

Sorry it took so long to reply, got tied up with some projects.
Your log looks ok, well, except for the non-matched channels.
It looks like you are unable to match several channels.

Questions:
Are these channels listed in MP TVSetup? (just double checking)
Were you previously using another EPG tool such as xmltv?
Did MP auto-scan/tune the channels so they show up as ATSC in MP tv setup?
Did you try removing the channels and tuning again? Can you?
