Country: | Guys, It appears that since the Radiotimes website has been back online.. that the grabber can no longer restrict the amount of data (i.e. I have always had my grabber days set to 7, but since the change to the website, my xmltv file now contains all days & dates that are available on the site). Can anybody else confirm the same issue? Cheers Darren |

Country: | Hi Darren I guess you are not using TVE3 as the "Delete old programs before import" was introduced about 6 months ago in the XmlTV2 plugin (which is now XmlTV, having replaced the original XmlTV plugin) to cater for exactly this problem. This means that the data is deleted from the EPG database just before the tvguide.xml file is imported. You still have the benefits of 14 days EPG ahead where available but you don't end up with a guide full of "To be announced" after a week or so of running. Also, if there are any programme changes these are picked up (although you would still have issues if you have scheduled a recording for a programme that has changed). I guess the ideal would be if the importer can recognise differences and replace them with the imported data as this will be more up to date than that held in databases. Mew |
