The first motivation for a dev to start a plugin or to enhance a part of the code is because he needs this new feature for his own usage.

MediaPortal is open source. If you need something just do it.

Why a big piece of land like NA with so many knowledged people produce so few devs interesting by this free amazing software?
Maybe for free is the problem

I'll be looking into adding support. The feed is supposed to operate exactly as the Zap2It feed did but originating from a different url. Modifying the Zap2It code should be fairly easy.

whurlston - You just gave me a reason to pay for a subscription to SchedulesDirect! I just hope they can give even more information and then MP can use it for automagically selecting TV programs.

I feel the same as whurlston. As a Canadian user, I find we can be even in a worse predicament then our US Neighbors.

The data should equal That of Zap2it initially. Since the Myth/XMLTv guys now control the feed, they do plan on enhancing it beyond what Zap2It had but initially they just want to get it working before the 9/1 cutoff.

Hi,

Just fyi, before you put too much work into something you don't have to.
I already have an updated version of the plugin for SchedulesDirect along with some enhancments.
MediaPortal is already on the approved project list, just have to wait until schedules direct goes live.

HTH,
patrick

Thanks Patrick. I wasn't sure if someone else had prepared for it or not. I hadn't planned on tackling it until they went live anyway.

Great news!! I was worried that I might have to jump ship due to not having a working guide

Is there anywhere to download this plugin yet? Also, is it working with the TVEngine?

Hoping to have a the plugin for MP stand alone uploaded later today.
I changed the format of the mapping(among other things) and testing that.
