Hmm wonder if its possible for someone to create a Yahoo go for tv plugin for MP that would ask for your zip code and what not to downlod the guide data kinda like MCE does btw speaking of MCE does anyone know where they're guide data is downloaded from? We really need to find a solution for this because WebEPG is way too hard to get going!

No Idea Where MCE downloads the guide from, tried to isolate it, no luck, but I have been fiddleing with yahoo Tv to go or whatever, it is nice and works great, but I cant get a good xml file yet, any help out there?

BTW, ping the server zap2it uses it is down, and if it was working we only have till september according to their site for zap2it before it closes for good, so lets figure out another source or way.

All I know is what I read on the GB Forums. The Yahoo Go for TV is apparently the old Meedio software that Yahoo! bought which used to be MyHTPC before it went commercial.

What the guy on the forums did was use the Yahoo software to download the program guide, and created a utility to read the database from the Yahoo software to output an XMLTV file.

My theory is that even though the XMLTV file is meant to be imported into GB PVR, since Mediaportal supports XMLTV, it should be able to read the file. I haven't been able to test it, cause in truth I just began playing around with building an HTPC, and Mediaportal is all I've been using.

I'm hoping someone with the knowledge can make this theory into reality

I got some info but primarly it screwed up my list and is about 2hrs off???

Wait I have it but my AM/PM are off?

* Ok I have got it to work, I run the file, let it make a xml file, then rename it and move it to the XMLTV folder, make sure your timezone is set in MP config, mine is EST -4.0 and it is a big (14days) epg, so it takes a while to load.

I installed Yahoo! go fine, and got my lineup. Yahoo go works fine with the TV and lineups, but the utility cant grab anything or make an XML file. The utility just closes itself after baout 3-4 minutes. it gets to where it says "27664 channels found for 14 days", then it pauses and closes itself without making an xml file...

anyone know why?
