Please keep the settings within MP2 if someone doesn't like it they can probably remove it just like they can remove any menu button. The reason i like it is because i have a htpc and i don't want to stop MP plug in a keyboard plug in a mouse open configuration app just to change a simple thing or add a new share for video files thats on a different computer all this should be done with out leaving MP2 and if you really want to close it down and edit it with a configuration you can still do that since i hear they are making one.
I really don't understand what people are complaining about MP1 had settings menu that did some stuff now its just better since u can change lots of things in it. |

some people like it, some don't - simple to understand really! There will NEVER be a definitive answer to whether or not to config from within MP, so the solution is to put BOTH in and allow switching either one off as an option. ![]() |

I also don't like all the settings in MP2 itself. My parents have to use the pc too and they are not so smart as not to press something that might mess things up. The more options and menus inside MP the more confusion.
The only thing I'd like to see is an option to edit options for MP outside of MP without having to close it. That would be really nice. The configuration tool in Mp1 also doesn't always recognize that MP has already been closed, and sometimes you can run configuration while MP is active or something weird and settings aren't applied after you restart MP. |

What i am saying is if you don't like it turn it off its not like MP is forcing you to use the in MP settings, what i understood from the previous posts was that they want it removed from MP.

I already explained a couple of times that in the next release (haiti) you can configure which settings you want inside MP-II, outside of MP-II or both That will make everybody happy so lets end this discussion... |

i am closing this thread now because it is only going around circles. MP2 will be configureable inside the main application and by an external application. how/if the configuration area will be remove/protect-able will be evaluated at a later point of the development process. ![]()
