| Portal Member | I'm really impressed with this alpha version. It looks very promissing... i just hope that skinning features will be more 'skinner friendly' than when using mp1. I like so much that the settings are included into MP2, that is great! but the only thing that i really doesn't like is that the UI is very simmilar to W$ MCE... I've some problems displaying the on screen keyboard (some keys are out of the dialog) and also i hope that this time it could be skinned like all the other controls. It also could be very interesting to have MPI installer integrated into MP2 interface, to download and install plugins and skins on the fly (the app could ask the user for restarting if it were necessary) keep up the good work guys!! many thanks for your effort... regards,

| MPI is already in, but we excluded it for the alpha release. about the keyboard, that's my fault. it was just a template thingy to have something to input, and of course, it is fully skinnable ![]() |

| ...I'm also sure that this great community will come up with a better GUI than Vista MCE. There are currently 35,608 registered users on this forum. Please share your thoughts, make some simple mockups and show your ideas how you want the look and feel of MediaPortal to be in the future! For those of you that aren't skilled in Photoshop or Illustrator -> Word or PowerPoint is excellent tools for making mockups in... especially PowerPoint as you can group and move objects very easy. Come on now everybody!
