Default Level Views for MP 2

i hope MP2 support different views for Level.

i have many music folders and i use different views for Artists (as Icons), Albums (as Cover) and Titles (as List). its very complex to edit more as 500 albums per hand.

my idea: In the Setup of MP2 its possible to set different level-views, perhaps 5 (i think its enough)

This is a good idea and will be considered for the MPII UI design. As of the menu structure will be fully customizable there is also no need to limit the levels to 5 as in your description. The number of levels could be viewed depending on the settings.

As I said, the idea is great and I fully understand your need for different view types for artists and albums... But maybe we can do it in a even smarter way... Will take this with the design team. Thanks!

one way that works great and is easy is make a option that if there are x amount of folders and say 40% have icons/covers it will auto show the correct view i think xbmc does it this way and it worked great for me i believe u can change the % to what you want so 0-100. This could go further in it will detect if a folder has only folders in it then it can use view that you want. This could even be turned on by default and will give a better experience for new users which just show mp a folder and MP does the rest and does it nicely anyways i hope Mediaportal 2 becomes more user friendly in a way that you could just install open and play just like mce or xbmc in which all users noobs and advance users can have the best media center with out to much head aches.
