Country: | Hi, Firstly, Merry Christmas Everyone, especially the MediaPortal Team!! I have MediaPortal running on my media machine, and its used on an almost daily basis. I downloaded and installed MP2 on my machine yesterday. Install was flawless, GUI a little slow but that is more due to the low specs of my machine Very impressed by what I've seen so far.HOWEVER - turned my machine on this morning, and once past the login, the OS stopped loading. In Task Manager, nothing stood out. There were The CPU usage was hovering around 2%-5% (normal), RAM usage quite low as well. Tried to launch explorer, nothing came up. I booted the machine in Safe Mode, which was successful. I then uninstalled MP2, then rebooted my machine. Going back in as per normal, and the OS loaded normally. Specs:
Has anyone experienced an issue like this? **EDIT - please ignore the specs on the My System link on the left; that is the "live" version, I'm testing on a different PC. Last edited by druffski; 2007-12-24 at 23:29. Reason: changed the location of specs |

Country: | druffski I think your pretty much on your own with that one, as MP2 should not even be loading anything on Windows Bootup anyway. And anything needed for MP to run .net2\3 etc is MS anyway. Will keep a eye out for similar, but remember this Alpha is the concept, not a release. and a happy New Year

Country: | OK thanks. It was the only app I had loaded, and the issue disappeared once it was uninstalled. I might try it on a work machine, see if the same thing happens... |
