Are you guys still working on Infinity ? When can we see nightly builds for the Infinity branch so we can play around with it some more.

yes we are still actively working on MP-II
but nightly builds will be available after the haiti release
Until then you can get the sources from svn & build it yourself or wait...

Release 0.1 "Haiti" is due on Thursday, 17 April.
That is according to the PMS.

I am really unhappy with that. I think its really time now for a new MediaPortal. Well... At least time to start working. For me MediaPortal 1 is very uninteresting since i saw 2. And its a bit old now.

Please take all good things from 1 to 2 and let the bugs die in 1.

Welll ...

1. We need a finished product (MP1) - we are kind people and wan't to help ppl get rid of bugs. This means:
- that MP1 and TVE3 had to bee in a feature freeze.
- that lots of energy had to be spent on MP1 - and not MP2

2. Sorry that we make you unhappy. I'd like to add that several users have made team members unhappy as well - this has NOT made progress escalate!

3. We think we need a new MP as well - thus MP2!

4. The major reason for making MP2 is to make MP1 bugs die ...

5. The development of MP2 can be helped in many ways:
- Donate of course
- Help on development (coding etc.)
- Give good bug reports when the time comes
- Treat the team members with the respect they deserve! Devs etc. does this on their SPARE TIME.

Sadly MP2 development is not directly proportional with amount of money donated ... codes have to be written!

MP2 development will probably escalate after MP1

an idea I was thinking that might be quite important to a lot of us that watching TV.
The ability to turn on/off a post processing on the fly, using DVB-Subtiltle or Core CC parser while watching TV,
or maybe a plugin to select which post processing filter have this ability and a from the remote will display the list and use it to turn on/off the specific post processing (this is what we do with our dvd movies to turn on/off subtitle
