Country: | Did you rescan your database? If you're lazy on scanning you might want to turn on the automatic creation of folder thumbs in General options/thumbnails. Please also try the lastest svn which has a fix to avoid adding the placeholder. |

Country: | no i didn't rescan... but i didn't think that "folder.jpg" files needed as database scan... they always appears without a re-scan before. i'm not talking about albumart embedded within the files.. i am talking about a folder.jpg file in each folder. |

Country: | K, it has been serveral times in the changelog (which you really should read using svns)! At least the On-Demand-Option will help you in this case.. I am too. This was the most stupid reason why MP was that slow before browing large collections. Now every folder.jpg is converted into two formats MP can read very fast at high quality - but this is usually done on database scanning. |

Country: | just tried re-scan of music database - didn't fix the problem. have "on-demand" enabled in general options - didn't fix the problem running SVN build 12226 - i will try updating to latest SVN to see if that makes any difference |

Country: | 1. Could you please map a drive to your share and stop using that hidden UNC path "\\jupiter\mp3$\<...>" I guess it's related to that.. 2. Your configuration.log does not contain a database scan.. 3. Also check if your thumbs\folder dir contains the folder.jpg in question |

Country: | have now mapped the drive (although it worked fine before using UNC path) the thumbs\music\folder contains "some" thumbs - but nowhere near all of them amended config to point music to mapped drive loaded MP, went to settings > music > reorg went to My Music > chose an album > highlighted a track and pressed "p". "now showing" screen appears and the albumart is missing (still black screen) thumbs\music\folder DOES contain the albumart it should be displaying the thumbnails ARE being displaying in the list view view though (ie when first going into my music).. however when you go into an album the thumbs are not being displayed next to each track (like they used to be) Last edited by chenks; 2006-12-19 at 17:04. |
