Then most likely the Artist-AlbumL.jpg in thumbs\music\albums is missing for some reason..

Did you tick "use id3"? Please do a scan from configuration and post that configuration.log

"load id3 tags from file" is not enabled

Okay, there will be a publicbuild soon which has an addition to create the album-art even if no embedded covers are found. Please re-scan from config with that one.

was this a specific decision to only use embedded coverart ?

i never use embedded art (and remove them if the mp3s have it). i prefer to use a "folder.jpg" file.

just installed 12306 build
re-scanned database within config tool

Well - some people suffer now - they have "unclean" collections where a directory might contain "folder.jpg" but in fact has many different files - for those there will be many false album art pictures now...

But whoever likes to use thumbs should have met the prerequisites
