BUG: Selecting "Now Playing" while playing mp3 locks MP

When playing a music file - my music > shares > folder > any mp3 It plays correctly and shows the overlay at the bottom (PMIII). The problem occours when i select "now playing", The screen locks on, music still plays but will hang the screen. MP is responding according to task manager AND my remote works to pause/stop ect. I have to bomb MP out to get anywhere.

ps going directly into "now playing" without any mp3 playing works fine?

I cleared all the logs and ran the above to crash point. I can provide full logs if need be but i thought it may be easier if i just sent the crashed files

Hi,
Please use Blue Two (only B2 it's updated after all changes in SVN) to confirm that this is a MP bug, doesn't happen here so could be a skin issue (maybe PM III it's updated & not backward compatible).

I had just the same problem with the MCE-skin. When I changed to Blue Two I could go to Now playing.

I had / have the same problem with mce wide as well as blue 2 wide with the svn yesterday.

please try again with latest build from today.

earlier builds were missing some files from svn.

This issue is skin specific. Blue2 and Blue2 wide were working.
The other skins need to be updated by their authors.

After a full night of trying to learn xml in notepad for the first time, Ive repaired the MyMusicPlayingNow.xml which was causing this problem.

You just need to overwrite the skin/PMIII/MyMusicPlayingNow.xml
with the "MyMusicPlayingNow CORRECTED.txt"
(REMEMBER TO RENAME THE EXTENSION!!)

I got a bit bored and thoght id redo the screen so you might also want to try the other two, especially if your not keen on the scrobbler thing? Let me know what you think

If anyone can tell me how to brighten up the artist & track lable font id really appreciate it, I had LOADS of problems with the lable & fadelable controls, not sure where i went wrong

as far as i know harley has released an updated version of PMIII.
have you checked that one too?

Yes I know, This problem is in the new release of pmIII, Was well chuffed when it was re-done, used it ages ago but there were problems, Imagine my dismay when i found i couldnt use now playing..... so i HAD to fix it LOL. will be staying as my skin till nonafo is updated & complete, hell, might have a crack at it myself LOL
