Country: | MPA codec merit is not set by MP. It's set by the filter itself, so not MP is to blame, it's http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli. To fix that you have to uncheck MPA/MPV on MP installation. This is all known and doesn't have to be documented anymore.

| MPV is still hijacking video before it reaches ffdshow for me with MediaPortal RC2 & Vista 32 SP1. I cannot see an option not to install the decoders and the .bat file technique did not unregister them. Is there a way to uninstall them? Thanks |

Country: | Everyone should have a copy of Filmerit (link in sig), great for all sorts of things to do with codecs, as always be careful what you do.

| Ive managed to remove the MPA/MPV codecs. My problem now is MP is refusing to use FFDSHOW to decode MPEG2. See my other thread... MP Refusing to use ffdshow for TV |
