1.) Fresh install of 0.2.3RC1.
2.) Selecting My DVD and starting playback of a DVD
3.) No way to leave the playback screen by pressing ESC or the "X" key or anything else.

1.) Fresh install of 0.2.2.
2.) Selecting My DVD and starting playback of a DVD
3.) Leaving DVD playback by pressing ESC or "X" key is possible.

Is this by design or a bug?
Can anyone confirm this behavour?

Hi,
H for home works & then stop.
Will check what causing this (design or a bug)

Update: there a issue in Mantis already about the DVD menus, maybe it is related somehow, will check that too.

Regards
Roy

Meanwhile the behavour was confimed by two additional users in the german mediportal forum. One mentioned that this is also the case with 0.2.2 + SVN.
The initial 0.2.2 stable does not have this problem

Hi,
Doesn't the "H" on keyboard take you back to home screen?

Ok I tried that and it works.
The question remains if this change in user guidance was intended?
IMHO it breaks the logic of operation.
If you enter a section from the main menu it is allways possible to step back by pressing the ESC or "X" button. The only exception is the "My DVD" section. If you enter it from the main menu you get caught there and the only way to leave is to press "H".

grubi.

Hi,
The rest of the issue seems like a bug (i don't know who changed this, so have to find out first), we can use esc out to Home from everywhere else, behaviour should be the same..........

Roy

I can confirm the bug with a clean 0.2.3.0 RC1. No chance to get back without using the 'H'.

Hi.

I've the same problem and in the svn--07-01-2007--01-01-Rev15045 the problem exist always.

I've tried:
  • Start MP
  • Insert DVD
  • Run DVD by menu 'Play DVD' int he Home menu
  • When I press 'X' key to switch fullscreen/menu I do not go to menu !!!
  • When I press 'B' key to stop DVD I do not go to menu !!! DVD loop !
  • In MP 2.2.0 the problem do not appear. It's a bug for me.

I hope that problem is just a little problem.

Best way is compare MP 2.2.0 stable revision of DVD run section with the 2.3.0.

Good luck
