Foofaraw is based on blue2, I haven't finished going through all the xml files yet, so most plugins should work although I have not tested this...

Post Awesome work!

I've finally got a chance to take a look at this awesome, clean skin.

I've only just begun, but on the home screen, I noticed that the time is only slightly off:

This could be shifted slightly to the right. I'm not sure how double digit hour numbers will look either

I like the layout of the TV Guide. The preview is placed well and there is enough guide data.

When viewing Live TV in Fullscreen mode the progress bar is off and the time is very hard to see due to the black background:

I just think this view is awesome!

It does appear the navigation bars are slightly smaller and off on the top.

This is a very polished skin and it will be my default for now

I'll probe more into the other areas to see if this skin causes any issues for MediaPortal and it's stability.

EXCELLENT work!

hi natrlhy, thanks for the feed back, i will try to address these issues before our next upload..

I've not yet had a chance to view live tv, as my development computer is without a tv card, but i will fix these progress bar problems on my mediaportal pc (when the wife lets me get near it)..

please can you clarify what you mean by
"It does appear the navigation bars are slightly smaller and off on the top."

thanks Rich

Hi Rich,

In this image:

I was referring to the navigation bar below the TV Preview. if you look closely, the top portion of the buttons are like 1 pixel off. Just a small observation that I noticed when seeing this for the first time. Hopefully you can see it

I'm looking forward to any updates!

Actually, I forgot to mention, I only run SVN versions and I am at the latest as of today. In order to have this skin work with the SVN versions, do I just need to replace all of the .xml files? Something tells me it won't be that easy since it's not even close to BlueTwo wide...

If it's not this easy, are there plans to make release that is compatible with SVN releases?

Thanks!

Works fine with the svn I think. Also seems to work fine with tv engine 3 if you copy the tvsever xml files from blue2 wide into the foofaraw folder.

I'll have to try it when the wife isn't watching TV.

One thing she did notice was that when in Fullscreen TV, she tried to change the channels with the number pad on the MCE remote (US version). It did nothing. Switching to the BlueTwo wide skin works fine...

Seems to work fine with my MCE remote although it is the European version.

Default A few more things...

After getting home and trying it out myself, channel changing seems to work just fine in Fullscreen TV.

I'm in love with this skin!

Saw a few more things however...

The "Yes" dialog prompts seem to be cut off somewhat in this screenshot:

Also, there do seem to be some BlueTwo items lingering about. The volume bar is blue, but I'm not sure if this is intentional.

EDIT: This IS intentional after looking at it closer

The TimeShift and TV on round buttons seem a bit mis proportioned, but I'm getting used to them

I also noticed that all of the plugin icons are the default BlueTwo .png files. I totally understand that this is a work in progress and don't want to rush this FINE skin... Just looking forward to seeing it fully flushed out after some time...

Next I'll try and replace the .xml files with the SVN BlueTwo files and see if this hoses things or not...

Hi everyone,

thanks for all the positive feedback.. I'm currently working through some of the bug's that have been spotted. I hope to post an update towards the end of next week. Also In the next release I have a few new graphics and animations to add.

Has anyone played with the basichome page yet? It is my intention to better proportion the icons so they look more balanced...
