I get the protected DVD's played within Mediaportal but the human voives are very low and somtimes you can hardly hear them. The suroundig sounds are OK. Any idea what could help on this?

I am seeing the same problem, in my case the problems start when the windows screen saver kicks in, it will then flicker MP display and the windows screen saver. If the screen saver is not stopped (i.e. touch the mouse) then once MP finished downloading the IMDB data, the screen gets completely corrupted.

There are two distinct problems .
One is not an MP bug and that is when you have another X10 app running like the ATI RW software tray tool and also X10 enabled in MP.
This causes both apps to recognise the remote inputs and can cause a double click of the remote button response.
Disabling the non MP X10 software cures this...

But thank goodness the patches recommended here fixed the problem for me (could NOT change between normal and full screen, and TV overall was unstable!).

Just wanted to let everyone know these patched fixed my system, but ONLY after REBOOTING :o ...although NONE of the updates asked for a reboot :eek:
Again, after reboot the crashes appear to have stopped. So reboot after installing the updates! :D

I have solved half of the problem that I had.
when TV (s-video) was secondary monitor and mp was running on it so, it will not wake up.
I made TV primary screen and MP in full screen mode. Now I put the pc in standby mode while in home scree with remoate. PC wakes up and records the shows.
