Hauppauge 45 Button Remote Green Button

I have fairly recently have started using media portal and I love it. The hauppage remote works wonderfully with it except for one thing, the Green Button. When I press it outside of mediaportal it seems to try to open "eshell.exe" which I presume is something to do with windows media centre.

Is there anyway to direct the green button to media portal instead of eshell.
I'm using a Hauppauge 1110HVR which has the IR jack in the PCI card.

I tried mptray but don't think it installed correctly as there is no tray icon for it!

Any help would be appreciated (even if its no this is not possible)
