Default Keyboard Recommendation ? wireless infra red for MP

I have always run MP with a usb keyboard which I attach/detach as required but I now want to use a wireless keyboard so which one ?

I don't mind if its wireless radio, infra red etc what is the recommended one for Media Portal ?

I've been looking at the Microsoft one and also the BTC 9029

any help you can give gained from experience in MP gratefully recieved ;-)

Cheers

I've used the Microsoft MCE keyboard for a couple of years now and it's great, once you get used to the nipple mouse.

It's supported in MP out of the box. I have multiple HTPC's each with an MCE remote and I just use the same keyboard for them all.

I'm using the Logitech DINuovo, great keyboard, with integrated touchpad, works via bluetooth. No numeric keypad. In particular I like the mouse functions.
Looks also very beautiful and stylish (in the living room).
Rechargeable (Li-Io).

A bit expensive... (about 100 €) but the best keyboard I ever had.

I'm using Genius Luxemate 810 Media Cruiser. It's much better than the M$ one, and it's wireless (not IR); take a look: http://www.gadgetcentre.com/news/ima...xemate-810.jpg

The MCE Remote and Keyboard have great range. I've just been given an MCE keyboard and I think it's very good. I haven't used a Genius Luxemate but I've heard good things about them also.

I can recommend the MCE Keyboard.

Either way, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Cheers,

Yes - the keyboard does not come with the IR receiver, the MCE remote does, Microsoft assume if you buy their keyboard then you'll have the remote too.

The MCE keyboard & remote work out of the box with XP Pro, just download and install the Rollup.

I am using the Cherry CyMotion Pro Wireless Desktop
Its great because it has a range about 20 m.
It uses Radio, so u can hide the Receiver station behind your case.
