Country: | I have a question and am wondering if this is even feasible.... I have a Linkplayer 2 that I currently use to watch most of my media (AVI and DIVX files)... It is nice because I just start a movie on the server and send it to that device. It does all the decoding work so takes all the work itself and hardly uses any CPU from computer. I have to run separate server software (Wizd) which is very slow when it comes to indexing all the movies on server. Would it be possible to store all the movie information in Mediaportal and use it as the server to read and send the movies to the Linkplayer (similar to what I have Wizd doing now)?? This way, I could use the speed of Mediaportal for accessing the files and the Linkplayer to play them taking all the work off the computer.... Hmmmm I also wonder if something like the External MPlayer plugin might do something like this....but I have no idea how to go about something like this... Thanks, JDizzy Last edited by JDizzy; 2007-07-27 at 04:37. |
