ms remote not working suddenly (driver problem)

Hi my MS remote docent work anymore from one day to the other on my HTPC

I tried him out on my laptop and there he works without a problem

Anyone knows how ore ware to get a clean copy to re-install the driver?

Have tried updating the driver but says i have te lates version and also unstalled the driver from the system, that dind help ieder

Try to replace the battery's. I did had the same problem some time ago.
And after adding new battery's all was working agian.

He works perfect on my laptop and the baterys are new, also my Harmony isent working on the HTPC.

Its pure the reciver that issent working on my HTPC, on my laptop he works like a charm.
SO its for shoure a driver problem.

I just dont wane re-install XP for just this problem got all the codecs working perfect and also all anti virus and AdWare programs are installed perfectly.
