Default [Announce] MPTVClient

Hi Guys,
just needed something to just view streamed TV on my laptop without the need to install whole MP. So thanks of TVEngine3 i made a small app which utilizes the Remoting functions offered by TVEngine3 and opens an application (in my case vlc but configurable) with the stream.
See the attached screenshot.
Just making some code cleanup and i think i will post the sources + exe tomorrow.
So if anybody is interested - stay tuned and check back tomorrow

Hi,

looks nice.

Is it written in C#? Maybe it could also be compiled under Mono / Linux....

Hi,
yes it's in C# but i don't know if C# supports the remoting stuff.
If it does it should work
The app basically has 3 functions:
1) Show the status of the cards (like in SetupTV)
2) Browse the channels and group and show the Now and Next EPG infos
3) Start timeshifting on the double-clicked channel, retrieve the rtsp url and start an external app to play the stream.
Don't want to extend the functionality much more.
It just be small and simple
By the way it could be a good starting point for others since the remoting interfaces are quite complicated and the examples aren't up to date and therefore unusable.
Will hopefully finish the code cleanup tomorrow

Uups, sorry.
I submitted it under "System Utilities" the name is "MPTvClient".
But there is a problem:
There is only the picture available under the link and not the rar archive.
I think there went something wrong.
Flipger:
By the way, can you tell me how to add a screenshot. There is only a simple input box but the screenshot has to be uploaded first i think?

Yes, i am using this in a wireless network and it work just fine :-)
PPC support should be possible, there are only small adjustments in the UI necessary but i don't know if there is a player for Windows Mobile which can play rtsp streams. Don't have one
