mbuzina, That works great! I just disabled girder, and work now fine with your plugin along the device event mapper. Great work! a fullblown .xml file would be very nice. i can post my half finished config file for the X10 medion 8383XL PC remote. Greetigns,

| Excellent work, i just used InputEventMapper and X10 plugin for the Firefly Remote. Works like a charm. Uninstalled the crap software from Snapstream and only installed the basic Firefly drivers + the plugins. Excellent work. Looking forward to MP having actions to activate the myTV directly so I'll be able to map all the keys on the remote. Mapping file available if anyone should be interesested. PM me for new, I'll post is when i'm 110% satisfied with the mappings.

I'm working on a more complete and easier to setup Mame plugin which is a hacked up version of MyPrograms. It reads all the information available directly from the mame executable (such as full game name, manufacturer, year, history) and puts into a sqlite database, so that this information can be used for display and filtering purposes. Currently have it working under the Blue skin but not any others. Plan on adding ability to merge category and other info into the database. Is there any work in progress to improve the plugin framework in MediaPortal? The allocation of IDs for windows and text is chatoic at the moment. What about using UUIDs and english source strings as the key for translations?

Hi acroberts, Sounds good!! How about integrating your mame-stuff into myPrograms? What's the info-source? The gamelist that can be retrieved using mame-command line? And .... windowIDs and translations are "as is" at the moment, I don't think that there is much work in progress in these domains. Too many other tasks for too few devs! But UUIDs are a good idea! Would be great to join forces instead of creating a spin-off.... tell me what you think! Regards, Daniel

Hi Daniel, The work definately needs to be merged back into MyPrograms but I am currently selfishly driven by my own requirements Once I've got it doing what I want to I will try to merge it back into MyPrograms. I will of course release the source as soon as it's working properly, so others will have equal opportunity to look at it.I can send you the source I've got now, if you're interested. Cheers, Ant.

Hi Ant.! I've been thinking about easier MAME integration without having the time to really do it, so it would be a shame if your work would "only" be in an off-spin plugin. And of course feel free to code as much as you want :-) Just ask if I can help you or as soon as you'd like to talk about integration! Thanks! Daniel

Country: | Is there any chance (sometime in the future) that the website (ok , not the forum but the MP main site) could modify the plugin / download section to go with a look like Meedio has? It seems like the table for the MP plugins, doesn't have enough information - plus no screen shot (yes I know that many plugins don't need screen shots, but this table format just doesn't provide enough space for the need (or so I think) of more information. How about a script that would allow how many downloads a plugin and a rating system? Who is controlling the content of the plugins on the web page? Don't you think all material on the webpage should have info? The MP web page I am referencing is: http://download.mp-fr.com/en/ Mike Zemina |

Going to take a look at the current state of the skype plug-in and see if it can be used to create a working plug for xten xlite SIP softphones. Also, I believe the text to speach plugin creator and the weather plugin creator should work together on making MP read the weather reports available from ftp://weather.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/city/ A macro along with current freeware txt to speech programs can make this happen, but it'd be better if MP had it's own solution. May take me awhile, I'm pretty tied up with work on Asterisk pbx..

I am starting work on a new plugin designed to import media easily from removable devices, cd roms, flash cards etc... I have not yet decided on the complete feature set for the first release, so if you have ideas or requests feel free to let me know. I hope to have that established within the next week or two. I have registered a new project on sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/a2kmp/), and will provide progess updates both here and within the project workspace.

Hi, I've got a little problem over here. I am using InputDeviceEventMapper together with mbuzina's X10 Remote Plugin. I want to use my remote to change the output device of my vga card (vga<->tvout) via tvtool (www.tvtool.info). But I think the events are only sent to mediaportal itself - not in general. TVtool is set to react with "CTRL-F9" and this does not work with InputDeviceEventMapper. Any idea how to get this work? Thanks, Eggert
