This would be great. I can't seem to get JRMC to work fully with Media Portal installed though. DVD playback will not work. With the plugin will JRMC work fully?

My System

Default Plugin to cut dvr-ms files

Hi,

I’m working on a Plugin being able to edit and cut my recordings within MediaPortal.
With this plugin you will be able to set in and out marks and press cut.
You will get a new file without the sequences you don’t wanted (i.e. commercials).
At this time only dvr-ms files will be handled, ‘cause this is the standart format of MediaPortal’s record engine, right now.

I just have a problem getting the preview video work properly, you will need to browse to your recording to set your in and out marks.
I get just sound but no picture.
I’m working on this for some weeks, now.
It’s working quite fine and maybe some people will find this helpful, if I just could get the preview window work properly?

This needs to work before the first release.

Default MyCam Plugin

Hi,
I'm working on a plugin which lets you record from your dv camera through firewire.
It's only in a starting phase, but here are some features I was thinking about:
  • - Device Control (control your camera from MP)
  • - Selection of installed video codecs
  • - Selection of installed audio codecs
  • - Preview
  • - Capturing

To get it all working, I make use of the DirectShow framework inside MP.
Unfortunately not all interfaces, etc I need are implemented in this framework.

So, I added some code to the Directshow framework.

What should I do, contain the code in my plugin, or should it be added to the directshow framework, to which it actually belongs?

Kind regards

Post a patch with the added stuff for the framework at sourceforge.
Please use your sf.net login, explain what the patch does - and attach the full file - not the .patch file.

Well, it's been really really hectic, and I haven't had much time to develop the plugin, but I got to the point I can connect my cam, and preview the video in a window. I'm now working on the device control ...

Normally in the next few weeks things should clear up, and I should have more time for the plugin. I'll let you know as soon as I've got a descent working version which can view and record a DV stream, and has device control.

I've also come to an agreement with qawaali, that we should make one cam plugin, in which you can choose if it's a webcam your capturing from, or a DV cam.

I'm real real sorry about the delay, but unless a day gets more than 24 hours...

SwiTek - Thanks for the update, I appreciate what you and qawaali are working on and I know many other people will also. I completely understand how life can get in-the-way of working on this project! Best to the both of you.

Hi,

I'm working on a conversion of my C.Mee plugin for Meedio. It hosts/sends data for applications like Girder and VFD/LCD software. The MediaPortal version will be named C.All.

Yes, I know there's already the ExternalDisplay plugin, but
- C.All is faster
- C.All has an integrated editor
- C.All will not support LCD hardware directly
- with the support of software like Girder, jaLCDs, LCDC, LCDInfo, LCDStudio, LCDHype, Smartie a wide range of displays is supported

Current status:
- software is already running
- still needs deeper digging into MPs widely spreaded data structures
- needs more documentation
- is hard to install

To the guys who (like me) think about moving from Meedio to MediaPortal: Is there need for any other of my Meedio plugins (the *2C series)?

From the guy (like me) I thank you for bringing over your C.all plugin. Could you list these other plugins and a brief description of each?
