Default Compiling MP

Hi,

At last I'm getting my system up and running again. For the first time I'm going to be using VS 2005 Express and .NET 2.0.

I'm assuming I need to install the DirectX SDK, but which version? I think the latest is Feb2006. Is this the one I should be using ?

Thanks,

Allen

Hi Pigboy,

Some more detail is needed. What errors are you getting?

Can'nt get tortoise CVS to work now keeps asking for password!

In C:\: "C:\Program Files\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe" "-q" "checkout" "-P" "mediaportal"
CVSROOT=:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/mediaportal

cvs.exe [checkout aborted]: unrecognized auth response from cvs.sourceforge.net: M PserverBackend:serverBackend() Connect (Connection refused)

Error, CVS operation failed

Well this is a checkout problem and not a build problem

I just tried it and it worked fine here. So, then the question is which version of TortoiseCVS are you using?

Generally the development builds work better then the release version. I had lots of problems with 1.8.x build and no problems at all with the 1.9.x builds.
