Hi

Living in DK I have access to record from the DTT Network, just tell me what you need and I will try to supply ;-)

I have some older recordings made to some hardware suppliers lying on my website here:

http://www.badsted.dk/dvb/Flaaten.ts

and here:

http://www.badsted.dk/dvb/Threshold.ts

Both are recorded with DVBViewer and are playable in VLC player.

Best regards
Henrik Badsted

Thanks, looks like those files contain all needed PIDs.

Well done badsted!

I was unfortunately not able to supply TS files from my parents. They recently had a new router installed, so my VNC port is no longer open

Tourettes, do you need more TS files? I will probably be visiting my parents soon anyway and i could easily use DVBViewer to record a few TS files.

No problem.

Just let me know if there is anything else I can deliver (longer recordings etc.)

Best regards

Lightbulb DVBViewer?

DVBViewer is enough to record TS ??
I should have installed it together with SkyStar2 drivers and there are some italian channel with DVB subs (I hope the bitmap ones). (MyTheatre can show these subtitle)
Do you know if ProgDVB can do this ? It supports my DVB-S SkyStar2 and DVB-T pinnacle but seems that I can display only teletext subtitles.
Finger crossed I will try this evening at home !

Thanks, looks like Denmark-508mhz-DR2.ts has burn-in subtitles, but those two files look good (tested quickly them in the VLC).

I hope that I can continue the development soon... I have been a "little" bit busy with other things.

The "real world" has a bad habbit of taking time from "interesting projects" :-)

But i'll also be looking forward to support.

Btw i live in the middle of Jutland, Denmark and can receive DVB-T from three different senders (Nibe [538Mhz], Hadsten [658Mhz] & Viborg [682Mhz]). The regional programs are different between them and i can easily record some small samples from each if it will be any help for development.
(Either with MythTV or DVBviewer)

But afaihs the settings regarding subtitles are the same - it is only channels TV2 's service id's that are different for the different regions

Hi, yes it would be nice if you could record some small samples from those different providers. There aren't ever too much test data to play with

Lightbulb Current status...

I hope that nobody thinks this project is dead It has been long time since I have writen any info how the things are progressing.

The last year was really busy year for me (got married, bought a house, made trips to Prague, Greece and Madeira etc.). Second thing that caused a long delay was that Seveni did just disapear (I hope that he is well and is just taking a timeout as he was really busy with work and studies...) and I didn't feel like to re-invent the wheel and re-implement all those RLE & PES encoding etc. issues that Seveni was taking care of. Most of the free time that I have had available for MP I have been spending with testing the new tv engine so not all the time is wasted

The current situation: Ziphnor has started to work with me so that we can finish this work at some point in the near future (I don't want to set any deadlines as I don't know before hand how much free time I and Ziphnor have).

So what has happened after my previous status post?

- TV Engine handles subtitle streaming
- TV Engine supports recording in .ts format -> possible to save subtitles ( thanks Frodo)
- Subtitle rendering is done inside MP with directx (thanks to Ziphnor)
- Lot of code optimization (subtitles souldn't have any big impact on cpu usage)

So what's left currently before the first public test?

1) COM MTA / STA threading issues needs to be solved
2) Subtitle timing code (old code is not usable anymore, nor wasn't working prefectly)
3) Possible some minor issues with subtitle drawing (if anything arises)
