Default Miniguide - Anyone started on this?

I was wondering if anyone had ever started work on adding a miniguide to MP. It is a fairly popular feature of things like digital cable. I am talking about something like this:

Typically, a miniguide appears on the bottom third of the screen (see image above). During the display of the miniguide, the arrow keys on the remote affect the guide selection and the channel up, down, and volume keys affect the video displayed.

I'm not quite sure how to invoke the miniguide however, using something like the MCE US remote.

If no one has started anything like this, I might give it a try.

I am using a usb-uirt and then a radio shack 2117 remote. I have a guide button that does nothing right now. This would would a totally kick ass feature. Like you said, a lot of the Sat and cable boxes have this feature. It's just one more thing that would make MP stand out even more... I look forward to seeing what you can come up with!!! Keep us posted!

Its something SKy digital does very very well, and would make a very very cool feature if added to MP. Something along these lines was discussed I seem to remember in the skin development forum.

That's what I thought, too,

Default I'm confused

Ralph and J1nx:

Is there someting in the latest SVN daily build that does this? If so, how do you navigate to it?
