Guys,

We're currently working on better Technotrend support.
For now the latest technotrend stuff is put into the TvServer, when thats working
we'll port it back to good old MP.

So please try the latest! version of the tvserver and check if its working for you
Latest version can be found here http://tvengine3.team-mediaportal.com

As said, its work in progress, but I would like to know the results
After testing, Please post your tv.log & tswriter.log to
http://pastebin.team-mediaportal.com

The log files can be found in (english xp)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MediaPortal TV Server\log

Frodo, my man! You are kidding!! Technotrend Premium Support in the new TvServer?! Why isn't this mentioned in the docs/wiki, or do I miss something?

What do you mean by port it back to good old MP?

It's time to install TvServer and paste the logs, guys!

Btw, Draktheas still missing? Or did you lock him in the coding-shed?

Hi Strawberry!

I don't understand above sentence.

Doe you mean Technotrend Premium works, or did you test with another "Digital TV" device (DVB-C) that works and TT Premium does not?

Didn't have time to try myself, but try to make some progress this evening.

Digital TV is an application with which I can watch Sat-TV with the Nexus card.
I mentioned it to indicate that my Nexus card is available to an application, tvserver does not "see" my card yet.

Strawberry, I see in your signature that you are using MP 0.2.1.0 with latest SVN. Didn't the article on the frontpage mention not to use 0.2.1.0? Maybe this is the problem? And what about that PVR500? Does that thing work with TvEngine?

I had to do some updates for my HTPC (sp2 etc) but I hope to find some time tomorrow and try things out myself.

Regards!

Hi Griffon,

The PVR500 works very well with TvEngine, beond expectations actually considering it is stil very beta.

You are right, I should not be using 0.2.1.0, however the trouble I am running into at the moment concerns the server side of MP so this in my opinion is not a 0.2.1.0 issue.

My own guess is that Nexus is not recognised yet, only TechnoTrend, or I am using a wrong driver.

You mean TvEngine has to recognise the card before it sends a stream to 0.2.1.0/0.2.0.0. So you never reach the point where MP 0.2.x.0 is involved. That makes sense.

You have a Hauppauge Nexus-s card, a rebranded Technotrend. Maybe you are right, but I think only the name and label on the card is different from Technotrend cards, not the hardware.
I could check if my card is recognised, because I have a non-rebranded Technotrend (afaik).

That would be very interesting, not only for me but i guess also for Frodo
The only other option I have is to physically remove the PVR500, I say this because there are threads in TvServer where problems with mixed card-setups are reported. But to remove it.... it's a lot of work

P.S. I looked in de driver's INF file, the only difference between TT and Hauppauge is a SUBSYS ID, I have no idea what this means an if TvServer looks at this at all

Two pieces of a TT7146KS.inf file
