Default 64 bit Processors

Does MP take any special advantage of a 64 bit processor? Or is a 64bit processor only buying me more horsepower and nothing more?

Not really no, you can get compiled 64bit versions but they arent up to scratch (read: buggy). You wont see any advantage and windows x64 is still too early in its days imho despite what others think.
