When I stop a .mp4 video and try to resume the playback there's a time difference and the audio source isn't synchron to the video source any longer. The same problem occurs when I try to forward or reward a mp4-video. I've tried different codecs, also the MP-standard codecs with the same results. This problem occured only while playing mp4 files and not during the playback of avi or mpeg. Last edited by fredflintstone; 2008-04-24 at 08:37. |

Country: | I'm pretty new to MP, but I just tried watching my first .mp4 movie, and the sound was a good 2 seconds off, right from the start. If I play the same file using VLC Media Player, the sound is in sync. |

Country: | Just tried here using FFDShow + Haali media splitter installed. Sorry cannot get it to go out of sync, tried pausing\stopping video after play\FF\REW. Is there something i have not tried. You do have default directsound device set as choice in config. Possibly a codec issue.

The time difference is visible if I stop a movie after playing it 30minutes or more. I try FFDShow tomorrow bit I've tested the MP default codecs, nVidia Codecs, Core AVC and MainConcept always with the same result and with all possible sound devices (direct sound, etc.). UPDATE: Same error with ffdshow + halli media splitter :-( Time difference is ingrease with the minutes I jump forward, up to 5 sec. The audio is earlier to hear as the video shows the suitable position. In Mediaplayer everything is fine. Last edited by fredflintstone; 2008-04-24 at 22:24. | |

| Okay, I've uninstalled all, do a fresh installation of MP1 and Haali Media Splitter. Now it works with all codecs :-) Could someone tell me what Haali do and it's possibleto include such a function in MP to playing mp4 files without a third party addon? |
