Default Black screen after 0.2.1.0 (using S-video in)

Writing this for a friend of mine, thus no logs attached (sorry) - his setup is quite simular to mine (so I just modified mine):

Motherboard: EZ855 (SFF)
Motherboard Chipset: Intel 855GME
Motherboard Bios: 1.05a
Video Card: PNY 6200 / 128MB (AGP)
Video Card Driver: Latest
Sound Card: Onboard, ALC 660
Sound Card AC3: no AC3
Sound Card Driver: Latest from Realtek
1. TV Card: Hauppauge! 150MCE
1. TV Card Type: Analog HW
1. TV Card Driver: 1.18.21.22301
MPEG2 Video Codec: PureVideo
MPEG2 Audio Codec: PureVideo
Satelite/CableTV Provider:
HTPC Case: AOpen EY855
Cooling:
Power Supply: 270W AOpen - modified fan
Remote: A loveley X10 (RF)
TV: LCD 32"

Issue: After upgrading (from 0.2.0.4) to 0.2.1.0, screen is all black. All setings has been kept - and all was working swell before upgrade.

Any ideas of any changes that could have caused this?

Thankful for any tips and ideas!

Hope you have the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file from his 0.2.0.4 steup. Use it (replace the one currently there) and I am pretty sure it will work. At least it did for me! I had a VERY similar problem.

If he didn't backup then I can supply mine, it has all the cards in it. Just PM me with your email and I'll send it to you.

Another friend got his 150 working with the new version (0.2.1.0) using S-video. Gonna try replacing the .xml from that machine.

Ok... gonna try a workaround:
Another friend (with same PVR) has no problems with S-video and 0.2.1.0.

Which files should I copy from the working-setup to the non-working?

Considering you don't care about the skin and other plugins, I believe you should copy the following files (in the associated folder)

CaptureCardDefinitions.xml (C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal)
MediaPortal.xml (C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal)
TVDatabaseV21.db3 (C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database)

Someone else point me wrong if I am.

Ok.... given him the files. Hope it works.

He has tried a clean install (0.2.1.0) and ALL settings for s-video. Very strange that he can't get ridd of the balck screen (w/o sound), since he has the most popular modell of PVRs; the Hauppauge PVR-150 (MCE).

Any other advice would be appritiated...
