Black screen on my tv?

Hi,

I cant get Mediaportal to show any tv, just black screen and no sound?

In Hauppage wintv 2000 it works fine.

Please help me.

Please help me!!

I have had it up and running last week, then i updated some mpeg-2 driver and now everything i messed up.

I have uninstalled the drivers that i installed before the crash.

Hi,

Yeah i tried following that thread too and wrecked my installation just like you. I've found a lot of bad advice in the forum just because something worked great for someone else they assume it will for everyone else. In the end i had to use System Restore to put my PC back to how it was the week before (this might be your easiest solutoin). My advice is if things are working for you then don't try and fix what 'aint broke!
I, like many others find that the NVIDIA PureVideo codecs give me the best picture/sound quality for TV (the only codecs out of the many i've tried where i can actually see a difference compared with the MPA/MPV codecs). I use the MPA/MPV codecs for watching DVD's and video files because these seem to work best the Mediaportal's built in DVD player.
If you haven't already done so, i suggest updating your MP version to 0.2.1.0 plus a recent SVN build to fix a few bugs. Then you can use the MePo skin which is pretty awesome.

I guess i have to make a clean installe of win xp.
