Default Cant play DVD in RC 2

MediaPortal Version: RC2 - Latest SVN
MediaPortal Skin: Xface
Windows Version: XP SP3
CPU Type: P4
HDD: 750GB SATA
Memory: 1.5gb
Video Card: Geforce 6200
Video Card Driver: Latest
Sound Card: SB Audigy
Sound Card AC3: Yes
Sound Card Driver: Latest
MPEG2 Video Codec: ffdshow
MPEG2 Audio Codec: ffdshow
h.264 Video Codec: Cyberlink
Remote: MCE Oem Remote

Hello,

Since I installed RC2 I can not play DVD's at all. When I choose Play DVD - the DVD access light comes on once, then nothing, after about 5 mins of waiting, the dvd starts, but stutters and is totally un-watchable.

RC1 worked flawlessly.

I have tried everything I can, I run AnyDVD, so I have turned that on and off. Nothing seems to work.

I will have to go back to RC1 I guess. - If I do have to downgrade, can some PLEASE tell me how I can keep my Movies database, I have over 400 and it takes hours to re-download all the data, box art etc.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

Codec is klite Mega Codec on Essentials Only install.
using ffdshow in the config.

No to drive speed, just AnyDvd as I indicated.

None of this has changed - was using Pre RC1 and RC1 all fine.

How do I get the logs?

With Rc1 no problem... I think this bug was introduced with the DVD navigator Fix for PowedDVD 8...

thanks
however i dont have that setting mine is

ffdshow Audio Decoder

Any other suggestions pls? I am desperate.

Dan

Hi again - i have done a bit more testing.

I can play DVD via Cyberlink PowerDVD and Windows Media Player - WMP uses ffdshow as well, and works flawlessly.

So it does seem to be a Media Portal issue.

Any more help from anyone?

Dan

In MP config. -> DVD -> codecs, make sure to try:
DVD Navigator
MPV
MPA

.. btw: Still no logs? I don't think a dev will even care to thinka bout the reason for this unless you gather logs.
