Cleanup category list in EPG

Hi,

Can anyone help me with the following problem.
My list of categories is a little bit messed-up after some experiments with a new EPG-grabber. So now I have some twenty time-related categories and several dozens of other categories.

How can I create a new, clean list?

Hi,

- open the SQLite Browser that can be found in the /MediaPortal/docs/ directory.
- open the TV database /MediaPortal/database/TVDatabaseV21.db3
- goto "Execute SQL"
- enter SQL String: DELETE FROM genre
- execute query
- save changes
- close Browser

This will delete all genres! They will be read in on next EPG update. You may only delete the unwanted by hand in the SQLLite Browser.

To bad a button could not be associated with a script that would be assigned with the SQL statements and run when pressed from a screen.
