Synopsis::

I had hoped to be able to run MP with the hardware specified. However, I get 100% CPU usage with MP just idling, and menu operations are extremely slow. Is there anything here which does not meet the hardware requirements, or should I look for configuration issues?

Try a different video codec and see if that helpes. Also your videocard is only DX8. This will cause more cpu stress, but I still should be less than 100%.

MP CPU usage varies between 88 and 100 %, never lower.

Also, there are some improvements in the SVN from about a month ago that streamline MP quite a bit.

On my system I noticed a nice improvement and mine is considerably faster than yours. Maybe try a later version?

Have you tried disabling all plugins and making sure there isn't something going on there?
