| I was wondering if it could be possible to set MP up in a way that I single press on a button can get the system into standby. 1. I am using girder/sconi, that means I send keyboard letters to MP, so is it possible at all to setup a key(combination) to tell Mp to go directly to standby instead of showing the shutdown/standby/hibernate/restart dialog? 2. I got get the system to standby via girder/sconi directly, but I wonder whether this will harm the functionality of powerscheduler: Will it get a chance to schedule a wake-up event for my recordings?! 3. If I cannot set up keystrokes for going into standby, could I set a message from within girder/sconi to MP?

Country: | How did you do that? I've been trying to get girder to turn off my monitor with my remote, i finally got it, but it wont work within mp. I think it's because mp wont release control to girder, it only will if a program is opened. |

| I have to look up how I have setup girder, but there as far as I remember you could configure a system event "standby", so actually Girder is shutting down the system, NOT MP. (Which was the reason wondering whether MP will capture the event and still do all the steps to configure wakeup etc.. )

| As long as you use Standby (Polite) in Girder you should be fine I'm sure. >How did you do that? I think it's because mp wont release control to girder, it only will if a program is opened. How do you mean "turn off my monitor"?? A power event or a disable?? Which version of Girder are you using?? Cheers, Jens |
