Default does 0.2.3.0 support starting with custom resolution?

my htpc is dual purpose. I like my desktop to run at 768p but would prefer MP to start in 1080p. Is there any way to add this resolution to fullscreen start within MP? Thanks.

What you need is for windows to change resolution too 1920x1280 while loading MP? You could probably write some kind of .bat file that does that.. maybe somebody here knows, if not, google is your friend =)

I don't think you can do it in a batch file directly. But here's like to a command line utility that you CAN call from a batch file.

http://www.naughter.com/qres.html

So your batch file file would call this utility to set the resolution to 1920 x 1080, then start MP.

Not sure what the answer is to changing it back upon exiting MP, other than another batch file that would run manually...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was hoping this would be streamlined into mp options for greater transparency (like zoom player, nvidia pure video built-in player, etc.) but I guess not. I'll give the batch file a go though... would be nice if it changed back upon exit.

Well you could make "my programs" or the "multi shortcut" plugin launch a .bat file that kills MP and launches a prog that changes the res again.. you would just have to enter the plugin to exit MP.

looks like that is already built into my nvidia tray icon. Would still require manual switch wouldn't it? i'll give the my programs batch a whirl.
