Dual tuner doesnt work in MediaPortal

Hi there, iv got the latest version of MediaPortal running on an XP Pro Machine running XP3, im using a dual tuner Nova-T-500 PCI Card.

Most things work fine, apart from MediaPortal being a bit buggy, but one of the main problems is the fact that I cannot seem to get MediaPortal to work in Dual tuner mode (IE Record one channel whilst watching another).

This is defenatly not my card as it works fine with WINTV, iv tested it, but when I try and get it working in MediaPortal, it simply will NOT let me watch another channel if I am already recording one. It says (All Tuners are busy) and will just reload the channel that its recording.

Iv read on the web that this is a common problem with MediaPortal, is there anyway around this?

Hi,
What have you installed & try to use:
1. MediaPortal standalone(oldTV Engine)(make sure both cards have the channels mapped in MediaPortal Configuration)?
2. TV Server + MediaPortal & TV Plugin(make sure both cards have mapped the cannels in TV Server Configuration -> TV Channels -> TV Mapping)?
& which one RC1 & or SVN?
& finally if none above attach your logs.....

T500 user here.

Problems none.

Autotune both tuners in TVServer config, that is what i have done, then delete any channels you cannot access either scrambled or payed for.

if you need more help configuring, let me know.

Make sure you haven't grouped both tuners together in a hybrid card configuration, i did this with my HVR-2200 and it stopped all dual tuner options from working.

Is anyone willing to help me out? iv just got Mediaportal installed (Standalone).

As far as i was aware I thought I had it set-up correctly.

When I add both tuners in, I cant watch any channel in media portal, if i just have the one tuner added ill be able to watch one channel but not the other.

Sorry too late at night, will Try to go through a detailed setup tomorrow, if you can supply the following info.

Need more details country\service trying to access helps, also codecs make a difference.

Did you load the dual digital tuner patch?
Did you assign channels to the 2nd tuner in the config program?

No, if you could give me details on this patch that would be great.

Basically in the config programme, under capture cards, there is a dropdown box, in this dropdown box there is two items (tuner1 and tuner2) iv added each one and autotuned it to UK - All Regions.

Set tuner1 to priority 10 and tuner 2 to priority 9.
