I have my MP system setup to grab the DVB EPG when idle. The actual grab when it happens works fine. But if I just leave my system running (I've never been able to get the power scheduler stuff to work reliably with my system), then it does not seem to refresh the epg and eventually (after 1 week in the UK) I run out of epg data. Strangely if I ever run the TV server config program and switch to the manual control tab than if no recordings are active the epg grab starts straight away. If I leave the config program then simply switching away from and back to the manual tab will start the grab again. It sort of looks like my system is just sitting there waiting for some sort of event that does not happen! Any thoughts on this? Andy |

Country: | Are the timeout and refresh set at standard 10 and 240 mins respectively, must admit have this activated, but also using xmltvgui to give 14 days info, the former just supplies some info that radiotimes does not, running Vista 32 with 1.0.2 and Win7 with 1.1alpha and both work with the T500. |

| MP Donator ![]() | Hi Ray/Folks Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have default settings except for a longer timeout value for the grab (I have 15 minutes I think, not sure if that it needed these days though). As a result of these problems I'm now looking at using the xmltv grab as my major source of EPG along with dvb epg grab for a few channels that aren't in the rt data. Ray what settings do you use for this? Do you delete all of the old values on import (I think this will also delete any data from the dvb grab), any hints or tips on the best way to do this. Also I noticed that when I do the xmltv grab I seem to have some sort of odd thing going off with each channel appearing multiple times in the log file. Is this normal (I'll try and work out what is going on here). Thanks Andy |
