DVD Playback

MediaPortal Version: 2.0.1.0
Windows Version: Windows XP Home SP2 + Fully updated
Codec: NVIDIA PureVideo

Hi there,

I have a problem with my dvd playback.

Basically after about an hour of any dvd, the video justs stops but the sound keeps going (sound is stuttery though)

This happens on any DVD.

The wierd thing is, i could restart my PC, scroll to that same bit of the dvd and it still not play with the same problem.

I could play the same movie fully without a problem outside of media portal and on another machine fine so i doubt its a problem with the dvd.

What could be the problem?

I noticed the same issue. I the beginning I thought that it could be a problem with the codec, so I have tried different video codec’s with no luck.

I also noticed the DVD menu sometime has a problem to be displayed; I get a black screen and the sound is still running. But if I press “ok” on my remote so the movie starts the screen return for a while and I can watch the movie

I don't understand this setnce, but I belive MP has a a "feature" that blanks the screen if MP is in fullscreen and idlee for an hour... try disabling this if it is enabled (config --> general I think). Could be a bug....
