DVR-MS recordings corrupted

Hello...
I seem to be having problems when I record a program the .dvr-ms file is only 8.94k big and seems to be corrupted.
Its always 8.94k but sometimes its ok...but generally its 8.94k
Weird thing is it plays in media portal fine when I play it back from the menu but if I try to play it anywhere else its corrupted.
Anybody have the same problem?

This is because you have chosen to record a program manually (meaning not a epg pre programmed recording) so this creates .sbe files which are hidden M$ recording files, which the one you can see accesses, you would need to Convert to mpeg, now this is from memory, so don't shot the messenger, if you go into TV\recordings there is a compress function, choose mpeg and your file and then start\compress.
