Strange! I've got an empty "Show: list/icons..." button in shares view, in all skins, if the movies are in the database. The button does not work either. Anyone else?

Is it the same for you, that the button is only empty, if the files are in the database?

I thought that I had messed up the database somehow, but it's the same with a fresh database. As soon as i have IMDB'd all the files, the button is empty. In clients too.

Not exactly.

I have the videos organized into folders and folders in which the button is empty and that no other (I do not know why) regardless of whether the files are in the database or not.

I have the same problem, just upgraded from RC2 to RC4 and now in one of my folders which is PIN protected the button to change view style is Blank and does not work.

The view is stuck on list mode, and I would like to change to Icons.

The folder with Kids movies in is fine and the button is displayed, so not happening in all folders just my PIN protected one.

Anybody know how to debug this further?

Try to delete (or rename) the file FolderDatabase3.db3 in the directory database.
I think this fixes the problem.

I had this same problem too, it does appear deleting that database file fixes this issue.

I have now deleted the file and yes it works.

For anybody else with this problem the file on my system was in

c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\database

Hmm, I have a feeling that it will come back... but this will fix it until then
