error message

I get the following error message - Failed to start tv, cannot add filter usb digital-tv receiver

I am puzzled, I was using arcsoft total media, unfortunately the laptop couldn't keep up with it so thought this solution wouldbe better as my laptop is well within specification for it, but cant get past this error message, I have scanned and saved 57 channels but am unable to view any of them.

I tried to fill out as much of the info at the top of this post as I could.
