for the recording directory, it's in MP setup in the configuration for the TV card.

I've now installed the latest testrelease 0.2RC4 as a second try, and carryed out a repair of the .Net Framework version 2.0. The remaining steps in the guide are:

3) Backup your current installation! Copy the whole folder to a save place.
Gues I do'nt have to do this, when this is a first-time installation.

4) Overwrite your MediaPortal files with the ones from the SVN Build
What is SVN build? I've only downloaded the 0.2RC4 :roll:

5) execute the start.bat to reregister some needed files
I can't find any "start.bat" file on my harddrive at all. Assumes this is part of what they call SVN build?

On the page I linked to there are all the CVs files you can download. They're in the box halfway down the screen. Look in the folder of "SVN builds based on RC4".

Found it and it almost seams to work out just fine.
When I selected the device in the Media Portal Setup afterwards, I got the same message as Topher5000; "Unable to create graph for this device!! "
Then I selected the cable search and "Tune". A lot of channels appeared.... so far so good.
When I started Media Portal after this I did'nt get any error messages as before, but I still can't see any television picture!
When I try to select the "TV on/off" i got a red dot beside the text that disappears at once... no picture.

Sounds familiar?

Seems that I was a bit hasty there :?
After a restart I was back to the old error message again. Every time I've tried to make a new "tuning" of channels MPO behaves as described above. :cry:
For your information... I'm using a Hauppauge HVR-1300 card, and the retail application works just fine. No problem watching TV (but the GUI and the functionality of the MPO is a lot better :wink: ).
I've som codecs installed; DivX 5.2, FFDshow, XviD and SLD condec pack. Is any of those known to make any problems?

It's a long shot, but have you made sure that all the channels have been assigned to the card?
In the config for the channels, make sure the channels you want to watch are all listed under the TV card.
This should have happened automatically, but ... you never know.

Yes, I've assiged all the channels I could find using tuning. I've removed the DVB-T part of the card, and only using the analog tuner. I've tried to tune from "Antenna" and "Cable". When I tune in this way I do'nt get any name on the channels, only numbers. I've tried to load from a list valid for my location (using the buildt in function). In this way I get the channel names, but it still wont work. :roll:

The remaining steps in the guide are: 3) Backup your current installation! Copy the whole folder to a save place. Gues I do'nt have to do this, when this is a first-time installation. 4) Overwrite your MediaPortal files with the ones from the SVN Build What is SVN build? I've only downloaded the 0.2RC4 :roll: 5) execute the start.bat to reregister some needed files I can't find any "start.bat" file on my harddrive at all. Assumes this is part of what they call SVN build?

When I selected the device in the Media Portal Setup afterwards, I got the same message as Topher5000; "Unable to create graph for this device!! " Then I selected the cable search and "Tune". A lot of channels appeared.... so far so good. When I started Media Portal after this I did'nt get any error messages as before, but I still can't see any television picture! When I try to select the "TV on/off" i got a red dot beside the text that disappears at once... no picture. Sounds familiar? _________________ Edit: Seems that I was a bit hasty there :? After a restart I was back to the old error message again. Every time I've tried to make a new "tuning" of channels MPO behaves as described above. :cry: For your information... I'm using a Hauppauge HVR-1300 card, and the retail application works just fine. No problem watching TV (but the GUI and the functionality of the MPO is a lot better :wink: ). I've som codecs installed; DivX 5.2, FFDshow, XviD and SLD condec pack. Is any of those known to make any problems?

In the config for the channels, make sure the channels you want to watch are all listed under the TV card. This should have happened automatically, but ... you never know.

I've removed the DVB-T part of the card, and only using the analog tuner. I've tried to tune from "Antenna" and "Cable". When I tune in this way I do'nt get any name on the channels, only numbers. I've tried to load from a list valid for my location (using the buildt in function). In this way I get the channel names, but it still wont work. :roll:
