Okay, i've got a few questions and problems.

Firstly, when I play DVD's in MediaPortal thay play fine up to the menu then the screen corrupts and thats it. You can hear the menu is being playing but nothing is shown. Sometimes the screen goes black but thats it. What could be causing this?

Secondly, I have windows set to 5.1 as sometimes I use my 5.1 speakers when listening to music/watching movies/playing games, within the configuration of Media Portal I have tried setting the codec from Stereo to 5.1 but the sound doesn't work and/or is muffled and other problems, any suggestions?

Finally, I heard you can use Wii controllers/Wiimote's with your PC via bluetooth and a small peice of downloadable software so i've gone online and brought a USB Bluetooth adapter and i'm going to buy a Wii controller, but can I use it as a remote within Media Portal? because if thats possible, i'll be one happy chappy

Thanks in advance

I can't help you with the DVD and sound problems but as for the Wiimote ...

http://onakasuita.org/wii/index-e.html

This site has software that will make the Wii remote work as a mouse. MediaPortal works with a mouse. Ergo, you can use the Wii remote to control MediaPortal.

Let us know how you get on... I'm very curious ... Maybe we could incorporate the "WiinRemote" source code into a plugin to get even more integration ...

Something to think about ...

Cheers,

To your DVD-Problem: This is most likely a codecs/settings problem. Have seen this too. Just play around with the DVD-Settings in Setup (especially the one with the DxVA-Option).

Good luck!

hmm i didn't think about changing the DxVa option, i might try that in a lil while

as to the post before that, well in the next week or 2 i should hopefully have a Wii controller and a bluetooth adapter, so i'll play around and see what MP is like to use with it. It might be quite a nice Media Centre controller

Thank you
