Default Firefly remote worth getting?

If I already have the remote wonder? I know it's probably better but enough to pay?

Is it better supported? Figured it might be since the setup gives you the option to choose it.

Thx

I don't think Firefly is directly supported via Media Portal, but I've been using it with Girder for about a year now and absolutely love it as my remote!

If the Firefly remote is really not supported what are you going to be using for your IR Controller? I am currently using my USB-UIRT with a Radio Shack 2117. At this point it really doesn't matter what Remote I have because of all the hard work Steve put into the UIRT. What does the firefly remote have over a MCE remote that is currently supported in MP?

I was using Girder for awhile and you almost have too many options with it. It was almost hard to figure it out. Plus if your actually shelling out the money for it... that just adds to your total cost.

I only got to play with the remote wonder plus a little bit before I had to return it with the HDTV Wonder.
The Remote Wonder Plus worked ok and had the advantage of being RF but I think my iMon was easier to set up. Each has it's own advantages and the key layout is very different. I may just favor the iMon because I've had more time to work with it and since it was included with a VFD that lets be control the system power that made it a better choice for me.

I've heard people say the Firefly is really good but I don't have any personal experience with it.

I find it great actually...

Not sure if you're still making a decision here, but I'll chime in anyway.

It's X10 compatible so you can ditch the app that comes with it and set up up using a couple of plugins in MP. I've got the MP computer in another room from 2 TV's and just run signal out to them. Use the Firefly for control, and it works best kind...
