Country: | Hi, i haqve noticed if i use the ATI MPEG 2 Decoder for SD channels, then there is no flickering on the GUI!!! If i switch back to the MS MPEG2 or the Cyberlink Decoder then the flickering is back... (!?) So for me works great with the ATI decoder. MoPhat |

Country: | Thanks MoPHat! Indeed it goes away when using ATI decoder - thanks! However, still get flickering with HDTV (DVB-T h.264), this is true for both Cyberlink and ATI decoders. Is that your experience as well? Thanks

Country: | MoPhat: Even if ATI decoder eliminates the flickering, it also isn't using DXVA. So it is considerably much worse picture than with Cyberlink decoder. So in my opinion it is no solution. So it would be very nice to hear if any people out there is using EVR and Cyberlink 7 decoder with DXVA enabled who doesn't have the flickering? I really suspect there is some problem with the EVR implementation in MP. ![]()

Country: | Hi, i have with the ATI decoder a nice picture seems to be the same like the MSMPEG2 or Cyberlink Codec (for deinterlacing). For me doesnt make any difference to use DXVA or not for SD Channels. MoPhat |

| I had that same flickering on my ATI 3450, it did went a way after switching back to Nvidia's 7600GS (I had to switch back as the HDMI signal is not always sent by ATI's driver and that causes lot of no signal issues with the current LCD TV I have).

Country: | MoPhat & Tourettes for your input.Well perhaps only an ATI HDxxx problem then? I also have some occasional "microstutters" with h.264 as I've reported here: Occasional (micro)stutters with EVR and h.264 DVB-T - does not happen in DVBViewer. Perhaps also related to the EVR implementation (or only ATI HDxxxx problem) ? As I've said it would be interesting to hear more people report their experinces with ATI HDxxxx and EVR.
